Alex加盟Windows Internals第五版
Windows Internals第一版的书名叫Inside Windows NT，出版日期是1992年11月，作者是Helen Custer。Helen是NT团队的技术编辑。从出版日期看，这个日期比NT 3.1正式发布的日期还要早8个月。
第二版的书名还叫Inside Windows NT，尽管已经介绍了一些处于开发中的Windows 2000（NT 5.0）的内容。这一版的出版日期是1998年4月27日，作者是David Solomon。以下链接是当年的新闻发布资料。

第三版的书名改为Inside Microsoft Windows 2000，出版日期是2000年9月16日，作者是David Solomon和Mark E Russinovich。
接下来就是目前在使用的第四版，书名改为Microsoft Windows Internals, Fourth Edition: Microsoft Windows Server(TM) 2003, Windows XP, and Windows 2000，简称Windows Internals，出版日期是2004年11月8日。作者还是第三版的两个人，不过他们的署名顺序颠倒了一下。
这四个版本的页数分别是385页、560页、903页和976页。可见在第二、三版本中做了较大的增加。
第四版所讨论的版本上限是XP和Server 2003，没有介绍Vista。因此，很显然，随着Vista的发布，涵盖Vista的Windows Internals第五版变成很自然的事。
在上海的Windows Internals中文版（第四版）发布会上，我曾经想问David Solomon关于第五版的计划。但是这个问题没有出口。因为觉得不适合，可能会让人觉得是不是要等待第五版......
前不久和David通过邮件有一些交流，在一封信中，他高兴的说他找到了第五版的搭档，是Alex Ionescu。
Alex出生在1986年，算来只有20岁出头，但因为开发ReactOS、TinyKernel，他在内核开发领域颇有名气。

Alex与David的合作不仅仅是Windows Internals的第五版，还有加入到David的培训公司做Windows培训。

On a another note, Daniel Reimer and Colin Finck have been granted write-access to the SVN repository. Daniel will be working on RosBE and Colin will be working on web related stuff assisting Klemens Friedl. Some of the changes can be seen already – the ReactOS Wiki has been upgraded to the latest version, and a new release of RosBE is already scheduled.
